Emulgel medicineCommon uses
This medicine is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (nsaid) used to treat minor aches and pains associated with the common cold, headache, muscle aches, backache, and arthritis. It may also be used to reduce fever. This medicine works by blocking the enzyme in your body that makes prostaglandins. Decreasing prostaglandins helps to reduce pain, swelling, and fever.
Before using
Do not take this medicine if you are also taking tacrolimus or heparins. Additional monitoring of your dose or condition may be needed if you are taking serotonin reuptake blocker medicines such as fluoxetine or citalopram, aminoglycoside antibiotics, anticoagulants, biphosphonates (e.g., alendronate, risedronate), cyclosporine, lithium, or methotrexate. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval. Inform your doctor of any other medical conditions including asthma, nasal polyps, any allergies - especially aspirin/NSAID allergy (e.g., ibuprofen, celecoxib), pregnancy, or breast-feeding. Use of this medicine is not recommended if you have a history of anemia or other blood conditions. Contact your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions or concerns about taking this medicine.
